Kunming enjoys a spring-like climate all year round, yet I unexpectedly found autumn hues in the Kunming Botanical Garden. The most popular place is tulip trees, tall and straight, with large leaves shaped like a duck’s foot. Under the sunlight, its golden brilliance adds a touch of luxury compared to the fiery red of maple leaves.

Strolling through the forest, the scent of autumn flows through the air. Backlit, the leaves transition from green to yellow, and from yellow to red, shimmering and competing in beauty, vividly announcing the arrival of autumn. Sunlight filters through the branches, casting dappled shadows, while a gentle breeze stirs the leaves, softly singing the melody of fall.

However, in the Spring City, the colors of spring have not faded. The green leaves remain, and the flowers are still blooming. Even the autumn fruits, under this bright light, appear even more vibrant, as if they are offerings to spring. The colors of autumn and spring blend together, not just in a change of hues but in a marvelous display of nature’s vitality. In quiet reflection, the cyclical nature of the seasons becomes beautifully blurred here.
